Historical Stablecoins

Historical Stablecoins is a protocol for tokens that hold the purchasing power of the past instead of the present. A token like USD-1912 is designed to always be worth what one US dollar could buy in 1912 — today, that's roughly thirty-four current dollars, and rising every month with inflation.

It's a fork of Liquity's immutable, governance-free borrowing protocol, with a single change: the price feed reports purchasing-power parity instead of a nominal dollar peg. Troves, redemptions, and liquidations all work exactly as they do today — they just defend a different number.

The project is equal parts financial infrastructure and monetary-political art: a way to make inflation something you can hold, trade, and watch move, rather than a line on a chart. It takes no fee for any founder — protocol revenue funds only its own upkeep.
